About

Rethink waste with Peg in this fun, interactive and hands-on workshop during National Recycling Week.

Where does our stuff go when we put it in the bin? Do things really get recycled? How can we use less and try to keep the bin load down?

Discover how waste and recycling systems work, practical ways to reduce waste, and simple changes you can make at home to live more lightly. Then put your learning into practice and create two useful take-home products using everyday household ingredients and materials you may have in your kitchen.

Presented in partnership with the City of Perth Waste Education Team.

This 2-hour workshop includes:

  • Part 1: Learn about waste, recycling and practical ways to reduce waste.

  • Part 2: Get hands-on and make two take-home products using simple household materials - create a toothpaste and/or deodorant to take home.

All workshop materials provided.

Please bring along a small jar to take home your DIY products.
